Retro Office Chairs

Tonik

The Nightingale chair company was founded in 1928, by Buddy Nightingale. Over the years, it has built itself a reputation of innovation, creativity and quality. Today, a special series called The Studio Collection pays hommage to Nightingale's milestone designs.

With names like T-Bird, Tonik and Soda, this collection totally appeals to my retro sensibility. I've even ordered 2 T-Birds for my new home office...

Un jour un jour, 40 Years Later!

Michèle Richard was asked to sing Un jour un jour, Expo 67's theme song, at the inauguration of the Metro extension to Laval, last Thursday.

Michèle had not publicly performed the song in it's entirety since Expo 67.

This event, reserved for the press and special guests, was not open to the public. Believe me, if it had been, I would have been there!

My 15 Minutes of Expo Fame

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked by a reporter from the Montreal Gazette to do a video interview for the web. On the occasion of Expo 67's anniversary, they wanted to profile people whose lives have been touched in one way or another by the event. What always seems to intrigue everyone is that I'm too young to have actually seen Expo 67...

Click here to see the interview.

The interview was filmed at my apartment, in the real Expo Lounge. Those with a keen eye will recognize Maxine the mannequin in the background...
